Serving God in Chad
"The Lord your God wins victory after victory and is always with you. He celebrates and sings because of you, and he will refresh your life with his love." (British Version 1997).
This verse comes to my mind again and again, and I rejoice knowing that the Lord wins the victory for me.
Beginning in December, the Lord has opened the door for John and I to have an extended visit in Chad. This time will give us the opportunity to learn more about the Chadian culture, to meet more people (including the orphans) and get to know them better, and to learn how Mission:Chad can serve them better. While we are there, we will plan to attend the opening ceremony for the Moundou Center, which is to be held on January 7, 2007. Please praise God with us for the good progress of the Moundou Center and that more destitute children and widows will be cared for in this place.
As always, Mission:Chad is very thankful for the love and concern you show for the orphans and widows in Chad through your financial and prayer support. None of the assistance Mission:Chad provides would be possible without your obedience to the call of Christ to help our brothers and sisters who cannot help themselves financially. Please know that your faithful support is bringing dignity to the children of Chad, as the Church of Chad is enabled, through your gifts, to provide for their countrymen. You all will be in our prayers as we visit the Church of Chad in the coming months.
Yours in Christ,
Vivi Wickberg, President
