N'djamena Orphans Relocate to Village Altonodji

Just in time to start the new school year, the orphan children who were living in N'djamena made the 270 mile trek to Moundou where they will become permanent residents of Village Altonodji. As dorm space became available, it made sense to place the N'djamena children in an environment where they could be more closely monitored and cared for. In N'djamena, the children were scattered in homes throughout the city- communications and visits were difficult.

Four new dormitories, in addition to the two that were already built last year, will raise the Village Altonodji resident orphan population from 43 to 120. Funding for the construction of the dorms was provided jointly by our partners C3 Missions and Spanish River Church. Each building has five dorm rooms- each providing living quarters for four children. The new children will be coming from the cities of Ndjamena, Pala, Doba and Moundou- both near and far.
