Prayer Requests and Praise Offerings

The first Sunday of each month Mission:Chad has a day of prayer. Please join with us in praise and prayer for what God has done and will continue to do for the people of Chad.

Prayer & Praise

The Mission:Chad board thanks you for your faithfulness in praying for the orphans and widows of Chad, for the training of the pastors and the church of Chad. We praise Him for what He has done; please continue pray for God's guidance and wisdom.

CHAD
1 Corinthians 14:33 "For God is not a God of confusion but of peace."

  • Thank you for praying for peace in Chad. Pray for situation in Libya and its impact on Chad.
  • Pray for the food situation in Chad as the last harvest was bad. The price of millet increased 37% and food is scarce.
  • Pray for health – there are many different problems, malaria being one of the worst, and most families don't have the extra resources to cope with illness.
  • Praise God for "Moundou for Chad", an evangelistic effort of door to door evangelism which took take place November 25-27. Many heard the message of the gospel and 4250 people came to the Lord.
     

ORPHANS & WIDOWS
James 1:27 "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."

  • Praise God for Village Altonodji, a home for destitute children and widows.
  • Pray for the children as they return back to school January 3rd.
  • Pray for ten new orphan students who have started in the 3-year sewing program.
  • Pray for the teachers and leaders at the start of the school year .
  • Pray for those working at Village Altonodji:
    • Pray that everyone will serve in the love of God.
    • The widows as they care for the orphans, especially for two new ones.
    • The administrators: Jeremie the accountant and Calvain the coordinator of child sponsorship. Praise God for these men, their hard work and love of the Lord and the children.
    • Samuel Dounia , center administrator. Pray for wise decisions in administering funds.
    • Pastor Pierre Guelbaye, chaplain. Pray that people from the surrounding villages will come and hear Jesus preached in the VA chapel.
    • Mrs. Sephora Mbernodji, secretary who helps keep the office running smoothly.
       

ESTES – Shalom Evangelical School of Theology in Ndjamena
Matthew 28:20 "teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

  • Pray for support for doctoral studies of current teachers at ESTES. This will help with accreditation and strengthening the program.
  • Pray for the ESTES administration as they look for new ways to help the students and their families to have sufficient food at a reasonable price.
  • Pray for the needed funds for administration and scholarships.
  • Pray for the success of the ice making business as they plan to restart work at the beginning of 2012.
  • Pray for books and computers for the library .
  • Pray for the creation of the Masters program and the Bible translation program.
     

INSTITUTE EVANGELIQUE POLYTECHNIQUE (IEP) in N'Djamena

  • Pray for the Institute Evangelique Polytechnique (IEP) in N'Djamena with current needs for classroom and computer room furniture. Mission:Chad would like to provide funds to purchase locally-constructed tables and benches for the classrooms, at $100 apiece, with a goal of at least $3000.
  • In addition, the IEP desires to have scholarship funds to allow promising orphans and young people from remote villages to attend the school. Annual tuition costs are $750 per student. Mission:Chad would like to provide funds for two students for the 2011-2012 school year. Praise God for funds for one student this year.

MICRO-LOANS

  • Praise God for good repayment rates for the first six cycles with an average of 95.6%.
  • Pray for the Chadian committee as it considers ways to grow the program and thus help the participants and also lead to self sufficiency.
  • Pray for the Mission:Chad board as it evaluates proposals from the Chadian committee and works with them to develop a good plan.
  • Pray for perseverance and wisdom for all as any decisions are put into practice. Also pray for people who will be willing to support the effort once the details are known.
     

LOCAL PASTOR TRAINING PROGRAM

  • Pray for funds for the local pastors training program at the vernacular Bible schools in Bebalem and Dobolo.
  • Pray for students and their families as they seek the Lord in serving Him in the future.
  • Pray that many will take more opportunities to contribute to this program that will strengthen the pastors in Chad as they serve in difficult situations.
  • Pray that there will be sufficient funds to add other schools to the program and for digging wells for potable water.
     

Our Chadian Partners and the Chadian Christians
1 Thessalonians: 5:25 "Brothers, pray for us."

  • Pray for Pastor Bako to have wisdom and perseverance as he provides leadership for the work at the orphan center and the other ministries of SCPEDT. Pray for his involvement with different levels of leadership in the country of Chad. Pray for good results for a Ghanian brother helping define ways for businesses development.
  • Pray for Pastor Mardochee Nadoumngar (Director of ESTES) working on his doctoral thesis as well as wisdom in his leadership position.
  • Pray for their families. They are all very busy and need God's protection around their families.
  • Pray for good communication between our board and our Chadian partners.
