Village Altonodji Security Wall
An absolute necessity in many parts of Africa, the security wall encompasses much of the 11-acre Village Altonodji orphan center complex. The wall is constructed of a 4 foot deep steel rod reinforced concrete foundation to support the 7 foot high by 19.5 inch thick double row clay fired brick wall. To further protect from the weather, the wall will eventually be completely stucco covered and painted. The project is so large, it is estimated to take 6-months for a crew of laborers to work on it full-time with an overall cost estimated at $180,000. Until its completion, three guards offer security to the site through the night.
